Henly has extensive experience acquiring both new and pre-owned aircraft on behalf of its international clients. Having agreed an acquisition brief and specifically the client’s requirements for range, payload, performance and budget, Henly will use its extensive industry contacts with manufacturers and aircraft brokers worldwide to ensure that the client is presented with a shortlist of airframe options best suited to their brief. Henly can also advise clients on the marketing and resale strategy for their current aircraft and/ or upgrade negotiations with the manufacturer in order to ensure the optimum outcome.

The team at Henly Aviation has over 25 years’ experience advising clients in contract negotiations with manufacturers, ensuring that the aircraft technical specification, certification, training and maintenance packages are tailored to meet the specific needs and priorities of the client.

Once a Purchase Agreement has been signed, Henly can provide an on-going liaison service with the manufacturer on the client’s behalf, regarding production timelines, technical, interior and exterior queries, ensuring a smooth communication process between client and manufacturer. Henly can also provide all relevant advice regarding certification, registration and import requirements and can liaise as necessary with the relevant authorities in the proposed country of registration and operation.

Prior to delivery, Henly’s delivery team will carry out a comprehensive review of production and certification documentation and will carry out an exhaustive aircraft completion survey and flight test programme to ensure that the aircraft is presented to the required standard and is functioning entirely within all operating parameters, prior to recommending contract completion.

Following delivery at the factory, Henly can arrange the ferry flight of the aircraft to the country of operation and can deal on the client’s behalf with local customs and importation regulations, as required.

Henly can arrange the pre-purchase inspection of any pre-owned aircraft shortlisted for acquisition, including the audit of maintenance records, aircraft physical inspection and flight testing, prior to making any purchase recommendation to the client. Henly’s consultants can also advise on matters such as certification, registration, import/ export, operations and maintenance considerations.

Registration, management, crewing, training and maintenance requirements will be determined by the precise nature of the proposed operation, i.e. whether the aircraft is to be operated entirely for the Owner’s use, or whether it is anticipated that there may be an element of charter (Public Transport) use. The two alternative operating regimes are fundamentally different, the latter requiring a commercial Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) and operating licence issued by the country of registration. Henly’s Consultants can advise clients on the merits or otherwise of proposed operating regimes and the relevant management and operating structures required.

Henly Aviation also has extensive experience in the recruitment of Flight Deck and Cabin Crew, ensuring that candidates have the right combination of qualifications, experience, personality and demonstrated ability to operate effectively in the context of the proposed operation.
